about

NOTE: Purchase of the full album gives you free bonus (cover) tracks of "I Shall Be Released," "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)," and a medley containing:

"Walk on the Wild Side" (Lou Reed)
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" (Jagger/Richards)
"Walk on the Wild Side" reprise (Lou Reed)
"Have You Come Home to Me?" (Wilson Rothman)
"Feelin' Alright" (Dave Mason)
"Walk on the Wild Side" reprise (Lou Reed)
"In the Goddamn Town" (Rothman/Riedel)

Recorded in Ft. Wayne, Ind., at Glen Lake Court. If memory serves, our instruments were miked and fed into a mixer, which Wilson monitored and recorded on a decent-ish tape deck. Pretty sure this is mono, but it's hard to tell because the mix is so muddled. Plus, we were drinking heavily.

For the first time since its recording, this concert is heard at the correct speed--for some reason, the final product came out too slowly, as if we were wading through some Indiana-induced quagmire. (It was an analog world, folks.) This is Clint's first time playing with the band and he seems to know the songs better than Wilson, Tom or Dave.

A decade later they added Clint Bierman on lead guitar, Edward "Tex" Miller on keyboards (he also wrote horn and string charts) and P. Tom Pinit on bass. In later years, Nate Shields picked up where Tom left off. ... more
